Biography:
Kyriaki Papadopoulou (born May 19, 1938, Thessaloniki), known artistically as Marinella, is a Greek singer, an important representative of folk song, with exceptional expressive ability. She has been singing professionally since 1956. She has released several personal albums, most of which have been commercially successful. She is famous mainly in Greece and Cyprus but also with an international career. She stands out for the range of her voice and her unique timbre. In 2016, Marinella completed 60 years of continuous presence in Greek music while she continues to sing to this day. She is considered by many to be the most important performer of Greek song.
